Biography[]
He is first mentioned in Enchiridion Marrissa, under the section "Culture". He has begun creating a TV series based on the story of Gloria Deschanel, named Invader Zim. He also has wind powers, and abuses them to make people like his show.
According to MarrissaTheWriter Family Tree, he married Karkel Sparkel-Vasquez and they had a kid, Cranky Vasquez. This makes Cranky and Skepness Man Beauregarde cousins, and this relationship was mentioned in Post-SCrash Session 3: Spectators of the Host.
According to the MarrissaTheWriter Complete Anthology, he was a Literature teacher of Portal High School during AG 1998, around the time of TEEN FORTRESS 2.
His first role as a character in a MarrissaTheWriter fic is in The AG 1991 Premiere of Inside Out, where he is one of the guests of the Beauregarde Chewing Gum Industry-produced play Inside Out. He has divorced Karkel Sparkel-Vasquez, instead marrying another cartoonist, Rebecca Sugar-Vasquez, polyamorously together with Ian Jones-Burnett. At the time, Rebecca is pregnant with Jhonen's child, and Jhonen has the idea of naming the child after Rebecca's brother Steven, after whom the show Steven Universe and its main character are named.
However, this plan is foiled as Rebecca's child turns out to be a girl. Rebecca and Jhonen instead decide to name the child Rose Quartz Vasquez after Steven's mother, Rose Quartz, in Steven Universe.
